Week 12 Recap
Last weeks games were both blow outs as the Christmas spirit has begun.
The early tilt between the Habs and the Bruins with only 9 skaters took it to the Habs winning 7-1. Bruins Robin Flumerfelt, who secretly wants to be traded to his beloved Habs, led the charge with a hat trick and a helper. John Annan and Eric Fletcher each with 2 goals. Hans Tim Randa gets the lone Habs goal. Habs mighty backstop Barry Ervin gets the Player of the Game as he truly kept this game at only 7 goals as the listless Habs did not help him at all. Flumerfelt was awarded Bruins Player of the Game. A spanking right from the start. Habs Tony Thomas back from 2 heart attacks takes over the lead in penalty minutes.
Late game between the Oilers and the league leading Islanders who needed 3 fill in players to reach the min 10 skaters. Oilers finally healthy for the first time took it to the league leaders 8-2. Oilers were led by Robb Nelson with 2 goals and 2 assists. Brideau with 2 goals, Maguire, Atchison, Spence and Burke getting the other Oiler markers. Pat McCormick filling ing score both Islander goals and gets the Player of the Game as does Robb Nelson. Oilers end Islanders 5 game winning streak and looked very good in this one.
