Week 13 Recap

Can you say 6-6-6? Because 3 of the 4 teams last week each scored 6 times.
Early match between the Oilers and the Bruins. Bruins win their 3rd straight game with a solid 6-1 victory over the Oilers. Bruins get a hat trick from the very hot Robin Flumerfelt winning back to back Player of the Game awards. Flumerfelt added an assist and a penalty quite the night. Bruins Cosentino also had a 4 point night with a marker and 3 helpers. Hot rookie sensation Murray Russell added 2 goals and is now tied for the league lead amongst all rookie scorers. Oilers Boudens gets their lone goal. Oilers backstop Rispoli was awarded their player of the game. Bruins on a roll but are dropping like flies as they fire their trainer.
Late tilt between Montreal and Philadelphia, both squads have beaten each other once heading into this one. It was all Flyers in the first half as they jumped to a 5-0 lead. But these comeback Les Habitants battled and finished this match all tied at 6 a piece. Patty McCormick with a big night for the Flyers with 2 goals and 3 assists. Patty needed just 2 points to join Rukavina as the next 500 career point man, congrats Patty, did your teammates make you a banner??? Flyers Player of the Game went to our Dentist Dr. Joel May with a 2 goal night. Robb and Nicholson got the other Flyer goals. Habs got 2 goals from their Player of the Game Joe ‘best Looking Oldtimer’ Peacock. Singles from Sharp, rookies Thomson and Desrosiers and Chantaj.
So just one more night of games before the big fat red guy with a white beard comes to visit. This weeks Holiday special Friday, December 18 the following games are scheduled. 9:15 pm Islanders will battle the Flyers and at 10:30 pm the Oilers will face off against the Canadians. Bruins get a much needed week off.
Reminder we have our week 15 games scheduled on Tuesday, December 29 at Port Credit arena at earlier times. 8:00 pm Philadelphia will play Edmonton and at 9:15 pm Islanders will play Boston. Montreal will be off this night. Please let your teams know if you will be away for these games so they can replace where needed.
