Week 14 Holiday Games Recap
Awww our final games before this Christmas holiday kicks off. Lots of good spirits in the rink last night.

Early game between Sweden and Canada. Sweden gets 2 in the 1st and Canada gets 1. Canada outscores Sweden 3-2 in the 2nd tieing this tilt up at 4-4 after 2 periods. The final frame saw both teams go scoreless for the first 10 minutes of the period and then Sweden explodes for 3 straight goals in less than 2 minutes. Both squads score one more time in the last 2 minutes for a final Swedish victory of 8-5. Exciting game. Sweden went 0-2 on the PP and Canada was 0-1. Canada got 2 goals from Paul Harty and singles from Harve Mihalic, Robin Chantaj and Robin Flumerfelt. Sweden got 2 goals from both Mike Rukavina and Rob McLaughlin and singles from Enzo Ianno (his 1st of the season and he thanked all the gods above), Tony Thomas, Eric Fletcher and the very handsome Joseph Peacock. Players of the Game went to Swedens Rob McLaughlin and for Canada Paul Harty.
Late game between Finland and a depleted Polish squad. All Finland in the 1st as they score 3 times. 2 more Finnish goals in the 2nd for a 5-0 lead after 2. Final period saw both teams get 2 goals each for a final Finland win of 7-2. Finland went 0-1 on the PP and Poland was 0-0. Poland got goals from Joe Cosentino and Frank Arruda. Finland got 2 goals each from both Dwayne Tygesen and the ageless Bruce Freeman. Singles from Robbie Leenaars, Jay Cummings and Tony Carlisle. Players of the Game went to Finlands Bruce Freeman and for Poland Art ‘Santa’ Senkowski. One more game before we shut down 2019 on Friday, December 27 ar Port Credit arena to close out our 3rd round of preseason games. 9:15 Canada will skate with Poland and at 10:30 Sweden will face off against USA. Finland get the week off.
