Week 15 Recap End of Round 3
End of our 3rd of 5 rounds of pre season games was put in the books last week. Early tilt between Canada and Poland. Canada needed 4 call ups for this one and a lot of Finns showed up to play. All Pirogies in the 1st period as they take a 3-0 lead after 1. Poland looking real strong into the 2nd as they out score the Canucks 3-1 for a 6-1 lead after 2. Canada gets 2 early goals making it 6-3 but that’s how this puppy finished, Poland 6 Canada 3. Penalty Free Game, yeah!!!!! Canada gets single markers from John Annan, Enzo Ianno and fill in Patty McCormick. Poland gets 2 goals from Dan Barrett and singles from Mike Rukavina, Joe Peacock, Marcelo Diluzio and Neil Kelly. Players of the Game went to Polands Dan Barrett…yes that is Dan proud to be a Polock.
And for Canada my god I can’t tell you how much I love this picture. If only we can make Enzo Ianno POG every week and put a coffee table book together. Enjoy.

Late game between Sweden and USA. The Americans looked good after one leading 2-1. The league leading Swedes came out a blazing in the 2nd out scoring the yanks 5-2 for a 6-4 lead after 2. 2 goals for each side and a late Sweden goal closed this match out with a Sweden victory of 9-6. Sweden went 1-2 on the PP and USA was 0-0. USA got 2 goals from Tim Randa (from the Suuuuuuuuuu) and singles from Tommy Marshall, Jodie Young, and fill ins Patrick Sharp and Mike Rukavina. Sweden got 2 goals piece from Leo Brideau, Dwayne Tygesen and Frank Nweisser. Singles from Harve Mihalic, Murray Russell and fill in Marcelo Diluzio. Players of the Game went to USA Tim Suuuuuuuuuu Randa.
And for the Swedes Frank Nweisser.
So Round 3 in the books. The Swedes sit a top with 17 pts. Poland has surged from last to 2nd with 13 pts. Canada is 3rd with 12. Finland in 4th with 19 and USA in 5th with 8 pts. Tight race. Swedens Cosentino leads the league in scoring. Polands Diluzio has the most markers with 12 and Dan Barrett with the most helpers 14. Polands Atchison and Finlands Fasulo lead with most time with Brenda at 8 minutes each. Finlands rookie Letsos and Polands Falcone are tied in rookie scoring with 13 pts. Swedens Brideau has the most game winning goals with 3 and Finlands McCormick leads in power play goals with 2.
Our new year kicks off Round 4 of games on Friday, January 4, 2019 at 9:15 Canada faces USA. At 10:30 Finland will do battle with Sweden. Poland gets the week off.
