OK so Flumerfelt is away with his squeeze on a romantic vacation in Italy. I told him to call the doctor after 4 hours he is no spring chicken anymore. So you got me for just one week until he returns and I am no where near as funny as he is and I cannot photoshop images like he can so will keep it simple.

So last Friday was our week 5 and end of our first round of 20 pre season games. Early tilt between Rabba’s Scottish boys and Julius Pork Chops. All Portuguese in the 1 st period as they take a 3-1 lead. Second period a bit tighter but Portugal out scores the Scots 4-3 for a 7-4 lead going into the final frame. Pork Chops were actually up 6-1 mid way through the 2nd but the Scots battled back. Scotland scored early in the 3rd making it 7-5. The lads scored 2 late in this one, like 20 seconds apart tiring this tilt up at 7’s with under 3 minutes to go. Top Pork Chop Brideau scored late for the the red and green and ;looked like a victory but after the 2 stripes got together neither saw the puck cross the goal line and no goal. This one finishes tied at 7-7. Scots got a hat trick from both Jeff Boulton and rookie Peter McKay. A single from sniper Chris Deware. WTF Boulton scored 3 times????? No way they were break aways thats for sure. He must of went to hockey school in the summer. For Portugal 2 goals each for Jay Cummings and Eric Fletcher, singles from the wood of Patty Sharp, rookie Robert King and veteran Leo Brideau. Seneca Auto Body Shop Players of the Game went to Scotlands #7 Chris Deware.

A face only a mother could love!!! And for the Pork Chops #27 Bryon Wright.

Ahh I see the infamous hat is back for another year thanks to my girlfriend Mrs. Woodside, love it!!!!!

Late game between David Dodic’s Slovenia and David Dupal’s Italia was not going to lighten up Brenda’s carpel tunnel wrist action after all the ink she needed to use in the early match. All Slov’s in the opening frame hammering the Eye Ties 6-2. Yikes. Everything was working for the mountain country farming boys. More of the same in the 2nd frame as Slov out scored the Italians 3-1 for a 9-3 lead after 2 periods. The final frame was a draw 2-2 with the Slovenians winning this one 11-5. Ugly match and a lot of writing for Brenda. Goal scorers for Italy with 2 goals from Greg Platt and singles from Dwayne Tygesen, Johnny Levac, and Matty Goddard. For Slovenia 5 goals and 3 assists from rookie sensation Stephen Davis. Heard him in the room say the last time he scored 5 goals was in his peewee year. 2 goals each from the other rookie Ciro Napolitano (rumour has it his agent is trying to get him traded back to his home country, the Slov’s are buying a lot of pasta to keep him happy) and 2 goals from team sponsor David Dodic. Singles from Steven Boyle and Rick Cecchetto. The Seneca Auto Body Players of the Game went to Slovenia’s #8 Tim Lochner, happiest dude in the world!!!!

And for the Italians they gave it to their coach Vito Mangiapane, OK I made that up but thats who they want to honour.

That’s a good looking Italian dude!!!! Ok so we are done Round 1, 2 teams with 5 pts, 2 teams with 4 pts and 1 team with 2 pts. Round 2 begins this Friday, October 25 for our Spooky Halloween games. At 9:15 Scotland will face off with Italia. At 10:30 the rested Irish will do battle with Slovenia. Portugal and their POG cock hat get the week off. Enjoy the nice weather boys!!
