Last night our final round of games in our playoff round robin.

Early match was a doozy as Poland was looking to win big and get into the Gold medal game.  Poland scored the lone goal in the opening period.  Shut outs at both ends for the 2nd frame.  Canada scored twice early in the final period to take their first lead.  Another late Canada goal sealed this one. Poland squeezed a late goal but too late.  Canada wins 3-2 and now set up a rematch this Sunday for the Kiss your Sister tilt.  Canada went 0-1 on the PP and Poland went 0-2.  Poland got 2 goals from Brian Burke.  Canada got singles from Paul Alloway, Paul Harty and Ron Chantaj.  Players of the Game went to Polands #1 Art Senkowski and to Canada’s #1 Frank Rispoli.

Late game was meaningless for the final night as Finland did battle with Sweden.  2-2 after 1 period.  Sweden took the lead mid way through the 2nd.  Finland scored 3 late goals, 1 of them short handed to take a 5-3 lead into the final period.  Finland flexed their muscles in the final period out scoring the Swedes 3-1 for a final victory of 8-4.  The lifeless Swedes went 0-4 on the PP and Finland was 0-1.  Sweden got a hat trick from Tony Thomas and a single from Alan Robb.  Finland got 4 goals from Steve MacDougall, 3 goals from lineman David Dupal and a single from Jim Maguire.  Players of the Game went to Finlands #15 Timmy Randa and for Sweden Bobby Ide.

So all is set up for our Championship Night this Sunday, April 22 at Port Credit arena.  7:15 pm our famous Kiss your Sister Bronze medal game will go between our #1 seed Canada and #2 seed Poland.  At 8:30 pm our finale for all the enchiladas, the Gold medal game between the #3 seed undefeated in the playoffs Finland and our #4 seed the Donald Trumpsters NO COLLUSION USA.  Sweden with a season of ineptness like no other are golfing with a 1-21-2 record.  Only beating the Polocks hahahahaha in January.

All sweater and socks need to be collected this Sunday.  Deadline for applications and $50 deposits are due also on Sunday to secure your spot for next season.  Team pics will be needed after both games.
