Week 6 in the books. Early tilt between the Rabba Fine Foods Scotland and the Dupal Studios Italia. This one was not a goalie friendly match at all as 15 total goals kept Brenda’s wrist writing. All Scottish in the 1st as they score 6 times before Italy got a very late goal to end the 1st period. The 2nd period saw both squads score twice as Scotland was ahead 8-3 after 2. Italy won the 3rd frame 3-1 but a little too late as Scotland wins this score fest 9-6. Scotland went 1-1 on the PP and Italy was 0-0. Italy got 2 goals from their Portuguese sniper Paul Barbosa and singles from John Annan, Johnny Fasulo, Agostino Falcone and Jim Maguire. Scotland got hat tricks from Patty Sharp and Brad Stoll who now both lead the league is scoring. Singles from Dave Wodar, Ron Lonsdale, and Neil Wilson. Players of the Game went to Scotlands Patrick Sharp (doesn’t he play for the Black Hawks???)

Late game between the David Dodic Slovenia and the Chinook Paddles Ireland. A goal tenders dual in the first as neither squad could solve the goalies 0-0. Slovenia scored early in the 2nd. Ireland tied it up with 5 minutes to go. Slovenia took back the lead at the 4 minute mark and a late goal gave them a 3-1 lead after 2. Ireland this week were the ones to run out of gas in the final frame as Slovenia scored 3 unanswered winning this match 6-1. Slovenia went 1-2 on the PP and Ireland was 0-1. Irelands lone goal from the wood of rookie Dave Vincelli. Slovenia got a hat trick from the very handsome Dave Skingley and singles from Dwayne Tygesen, David Dodic and Eric Fletcher. Players of the Game went to Slovenia’s Dave Skingley and for the Irish Dr. Joel May who left before we could get his pic.

This weeks games go on Friday, November 5 at 9:15 pm the rested Portuguese will face off against the Slovenians. At 10:30 pm Ireland will do battle with Italia. Scotland gets the week off.
