Week 6 Recap Nov. 3, 22
Our kick off of round 2 games. Early tilt between Scotland and Italy was a beaut!!!!! Scotland scored the lone goal in the 1st. Italy slightly out played the Scots in the 2nd 2-1 for a 2-2 tie after 2 periods. Thats a lot of 2’s my goodness. Scots took back the lead at 9:44 in the 3rd. The crazy talking Italians scored twice within 40 seconds at the 6 minute mark to take a 4-3 lead. But the Scots pressed hard and tied up this one at 4’s with just under 2 minutes to go and thats how this puppy finished. Scotland went 0-2 on the PP and Italy was 0-0. Scotland got goals from Patty Sharp, Frank Arruda, Greg Platt and Tim Randa. For the Italians 2 goals from Brad Stoll and singles from Jim Maguire and Jodie Young. Stonehooker Brewery Players of the Game goes to Scotlands Steve Sparrow.

And for the Italians the very handsome Johnny Fasulo!!!!

OK late game between the rested Irish and Slovenia. 2-1 for the Slov’s after 1 period. Deja vu in the 2nd period 2-1 and the Slovenians up 4-2 after 2 periods. One more early goal in the 3rd from the Slov’s and this one ends Slovenia 5 Ireland 2. Ireland got a goal from Dave Vincelli and Joel May. Slovenia got a hat trick from rookie sensation Chris Deware and singles from Tim Freeman and the game winning goal from Tony Cipparrone, a good Irish name. Penalty free affair. Players of the Game went to Irelands Joel May and for the Slovenians Chris Deware.
This weeks games Friday, November 11 at 9:15 will show case the high flying Slovenians and the rested Portuguese. Late game at 10:30 between Ireland the Italy. Scotland gets the week off. Don’t forget to ensure you have a CSA approved visor or cage as it is a rule that all mens hockey players must have a CSA approved visor (half or full) on during any games played in Ontario.
