2 beauties for halloween weekend last Friday. Early game between the winless Scottish and the surging Italians. 2-2 after the first period. All Scottish in the 2nd period as they out score the Italians 4-1 taking a 6-3 lead. Italians bounce back mightily in the 3rd scoring 3 times in a 2 minute stretch timing up this tilt at 6’s with 8 minutes to go. The Scots take back the lead with just under 6 minutes left on the ticker and thats how this bad boy finished. Scotland with its first win 7-6. Italians got a hat trick from Dave Vincelli, 2 goals from Eric Fletcher and a single from Leo Brideau. Scotland got all singles on this night as they spread the love around all 3 lines. Joe Peacock, Alan Robb, Enzo Ianno, Brad Stoll, Patty Sharp, Tim Lochner, and Jodie Young the hero with the game winner! Players of the Game went to maybe the more handsome than Peacock dude Tim Lochner??????

And for the Italians Dave Vincelli. No pic sorry.

Late game between Slovenia and the 4 and 0 Irish. All Slovenians in the first period out scoring the Irish 3-0. Ireland score 2 lone goals in the 2nd tightening this one up at 3-2 after 2. Slovenia scores early in the 3rd but Ireland scores right back keeping it a one goal game. Slovenia scores 2 more late goals (maybe empty netters not sure) in the last 90 seconds of this one taking the victory 6-3. Ireland got 2 goals from the scoring machine unsmiling Chris Deware and a single from the smiling Timmy Randa. Slovenia got 2 goals from Dr. Joel May and singles from Tony Thomas, Andy de Man with the game winner, Dwayne Tygessen and Paul Riopelle. Players of the Game went to Irelands Tim Freeman, which Freeman is the best looking?? Not sure.

And for the Slivovicia drinking Slovenians it was a unanimous choice their back stop Scottie McCallum who injured his leg and was put on a long term injury list late in the 2nd period. Hung in there with great pain and finished the game beating the unbeaten Irish for the first time this season. Lots of love for Scottie by their entire squad. Nicely done sir!!!

So Round 2 is off and running. This week November 3rd early game between Slovenia and Portugal. Late game Italy and Ireland both looking to rebound after their current losses. See you all on the ice!!
