Friday November 12 games in the books. Early match Between the Rabba Fine Food Scotland and the Chinook Performance Paddles Ireland. Scotland missing their top forward and Ireland down 3 skaters. Scotland jump out in front 3-1 in the 1st period. Scotland continued to dominate in the 2nd winning it 4-1 and taking a 7-2 lead into the final frame. The Scots took their foot off the gas petal in the 3rd as Ireland scores 3 times in the final 5 minutes making this a Scotland victory of 7-5. Both teams went 0-1 on the PP. Ireland got 2 goals from Patty McCormick and 2 goals from rookie sensation Dave Vincelli. A single from Bryon Wright. Scotland got a hat trick from Patrick Sharp, his 2nd already in this new season. 2 goals from both Ron Lonsdale and Brad Stoll. For Ireland Player of the Game went to Patty McCormick (no photo sorry). And for Scotland it went to rookie phenom Ron Lonsdale. Now I have no words to describe the upcoming photos as their team rep sent me redo’s for past POG photos. Again no words I will leave it for each your own interpretation. NO WORDS…I just laughed a lot!!!!

Scotland also had some other celebrations. Murray Russell turned 60! Happy happy dog.

And finally long time member Steve Atchison told his boys that hey….girlfriend and I went for a walk and stumbled into an Elvis Presley Chapel and wham bam I got married a few hours before our game. God bless you buddy boy, god bless ya!!!!!

OK that is a lot of news coming out of Scotlands dressing room. But I thought the pictures were worth a 1000 words.

OK late game was much closer than the early tilt. Dupal Studios Italy vs Gary Julius Portugal. All tied up after 1 as both squads scored twice. Much the same in the 2nd as both teams got a goal for a 3-3 tie heading into the 3rd. Portugal scored 2 unanswered in the 3rd, one early and one late taking this game 5-3. Portugal was 1-1 on the PP and Italy was 0-1. Italy got goals from Johnny Annan, Paul Barbosa and Tim Randa. Portugal got 2 goals from Dave Woodside and singles from Jeff Boulton, Rob McLaughlin and Rob McKean with the game winning goal. Players of the Game went to Italys Agostino Falcone (I love that name!!!!!)

And for the Portuguese replacement back stop Mark Graham with the plunger!!!!

So lots of stuff here to digest. This weeks games go Friday, November 19 at 9:15 pm Portugal will do battle with Ireland. And at 10:30 Scotland will face off against the rested Slovenians. Italia are making tomato sauce and get the week off.
