Week 9 Recap
Early game between Poland and Finland. All Polocks in the opening frame as they out score the Fins 3-1. A closer 2nd period as Poland out duelled the Fins 4-3 for a 7-4 lead. Poland scored the lone goal in the final frame for a 8-4 win. Poland got 2 goals from both Paul ‘Pork Chop’ Tavares and Frank ‘also a Pork Chop’ Arruda. 4 goals from the 2 pork chops unbelievable maybe the first time ever Pork Chops scored 4 goals in one game. Singles from rookie Matt Goddard, Alan Robb, Agostino Falcone and Brent Byer. For Finland all singles from Dwayne Tygesen, ageless Bruce Freeman, Jay Cummings and Brian Spence. Both squads went 0-2 on the PP. Players of the Game went to Finlands Dwayne Tygesen and Polands Paul Tavares.
Late game was a beaut. Finlands Gordie Ide filling for the Sweden in the pipes after just letting in 8 goals refused a warm up. Canada looked sharp early on in this one. Both teams scored once in the 1st period. Shut outs in the 2nd. Sweden scored late in the 3rd to take this game 2-1. Canada got its single goal from Robin Flumerfelt and Sweden got goals from Rob Messenger and the game winner from David ‘Shampoo’ Dupal. Sweden went 0-1 on the PP and Canada was 0-0. Players of the Game went to Sweden goalie fill in Gordie Ide allowing just 1 goal in this one after letting in 8 just an hour earlier. For Canada Frank Rispoli gets the nod. Does this look like a retired boy now.
Early in the 2nd period Swedens Rukavina tried to give Canada’s Flumerfelt a big kiss for staying away from Brenda for more than one year now and Flumerfelt had nothing to do with it, not that there is anything wrong with that. Rukavina then spent the evening at Emergency getting 11 stitches.
Maybe finally time for a face mask and stay away from trying to make out with a fellow player.
